Indonesia’s PT. Excelcomindo Pratama (XL) Selects Aicent GRX Service
Country’s third largest mobile operator roams across 200 global carriers

San Jose, CA – July 1, 2005 – Aicent Inc., a leading provider of data network services and solutions for global mobile operators, today announced that PT. Excelcomindo Pratama (XL), the third largest mobile operator in Indonesia, has selected Aicent GPRS Roaming Exchange (GRX) service to provide a seamless roaming experience for its 6.5 million mobile subscribers. XL joins 40 leading operators and over 400 million subscribers in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US connected to Aicent GRX.

Indonesia, the world’s fourth largest country, is a dynamic growth market for mobile penetration. With subscriber activity rapidly increasing, Aicent GRX acts as a dedicated hub for XL to interconnect to the vast majority of the Asia GPRS operator market. Today, Aicent is the largest GRX provider in Asia Pacific, with its GRX service launched in the region in 2002.

“XL is thrilled to have found the highest quality and most reliable GRX partner in Aicent,” said Alfred Boediman, VP of New Products, Technology, VAS, WiMAX, and 3G of XL. “Aicent’s strong technical know-how and guaranteed service levels are matched by its GRX roadmap that assures XL’s migration into 3G.”

This GRX agreement, the first partnership between Aicent and XL, is supported by rigorous commercial testing. Aicent GRX enables XL to offer their subscribers secure mobile access and international roaming connectivity. Through 18 peering agreements, Aicent GRX reaches over 200 GPRS networks world wide.

“Aicent is proud to be selected by Indonesia's fastest growing operator," said Lynn Liu, President and CEO of Aicent, Inc. "As the worldwide demand for mobile applications and data services grow, and the market migrates to 3G and beyond, Aicent is committed to leveraging our IP network and high-value services for global operators to better serve their subscriber base.”
